The Best of Maretarium

  • The most exotic fish: the goby family
  • The spined sticklebacks, true punks they are
  • The most surprising sight: the aggressive rainbow trouts, aka Oncorhynchus mykiss. They were chasing each other around so fast & furiously that every now and then one of them was hit so bad the scales came off like pieces of silver jewelry. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like in the over-crowded farming pools!
  • I loved the naturally green water that was visibly full of algae. The sun was shining from directly above so you could actually see the rays flickering below the surface, in the reign of fish. The big & small fish living in harmony.
